About us

Silex Land is a property development company specialising in commercial, residential and mixed use development throughout the UK. The company has quickly established itself and we currently own and are developing numerous schemes across the Country, from a Tesco anchored retail centre in Pontypridd, Wales to a luxury housing scheme in Norwich.

Silex Land has over 60 years combined experience in the commercial property sector, spanning development and construction, architecture and project management, development and investment advisory, and commercial leasing. The company’s Directors have experience working in all property sectors and have, in previous roles, been involved in substantial City Centre office and mixed use regeneration developments.

Silex Land is committed to developing buildings of the highest calibre. We demand the highest standards of ourselves and of our development team in order to meet the high demands of those who matter most – the people who own and occupy our developments.

How we work

The company prides itself on its extensive knowledge of the entire development process and its ability to work in partnership with differing organizations, ranging from Local Authorities to private sector clients. Each development site is unique and our broad range of experience allows us to recognise the full potential of any given site, enhance the viability of the surroundings and maximize value.

We deal with each development at a Director level, allowing us to make decisions quickly. In addition to our in-house expertise, we employ a high quality professional team on a project by project basis, ensuring that each scheme has a tailor made team to ensure its success.

What we look for

We look at all types of property where we feel we can use our skills to enhance value – brownfield sites, existing buildings, change of use opportunities, refurbishment opportunities and site assembly opportunities. We will look at sites on both an unconditional and a subject to planning basis. Our great expertise across all sectors allows us to recognise a site’s potential and maximise profitability.

Funding

The majority of our schemes are self-funded. In addition to our own resources, we have excellent relationships with most of the major Banks and Institutions, as well as private investors, should we chose to forward fund or joint venture a project where we feel appropriate. Our funders have confidence not only in our schemes, but also our ability to successfully undertake each project.

These relationships provide us with great flexibility to undertake developments of all types and sizes.
